Backwards?
Check the po file for TuxPaint - it uses natural Hebrew.
The program is also written using SDL - and the direction issue was
solved back in 2003 (see the fourth note in this page:

At this moment I'm writing the words backwards, using a function I'd written a
very long time ago and it's a bit buggy.
I think that someone should go over SDL and add some serious language support
according to unicode standard.
