Just setup your BIOS to LBA (instead of the horrible AUTO).
I just installed RH 6.0 on a 13 GB IDE disk and it works perfectly..
I would suggest after installing (and to all Linux IL users here) to
look at http://www.tunelinux.com/ for setting up UDMA and DMA setti
I think there is supposed to be a big-disk HOWTO (for some reson I don't
currently have it).
but you can make a small partion with only the kernel and related files,
and after start-up mount the rest of the file-system. that will solve your
problem.
