Sorry about the question, but from what version did you upgrade?
You can also use the first CD Rescue mode, use ldd on the affected
applications and see what you can install (using rpm -qf ) in order to fix this issue.

error in /lib/ld-linux.so.2 that complained something about re-freeing
memory.
