I was contacted by the GNOME bugzilla team. They closed the bug arguing
that it is related to aspell and not with GNOME or Evolution. Now I

These crashes did not happen with Evolution 2.5, but then editing and
writing in Hebrew was buggy and the Hebrew speller never worked for me.
At least, after installing Ubuntu with Evolution 2.8 everything worked

Outlook uses this string: windows-1255

Evolution uses BOTH WebDAV and HTTP. Try switching OWA to form based

Evolution has ISO-8859-8 encoding support (and UTF 8), so it can see
Hebrew encoded mails. (I'm using an MS unicode font.)
However, I've never tried to get bidi working.
BTW, if anyone can show me how get ISO-8859-8-1 (non-visual) encoding
working... I'll be one happy puppy.

A new version of evolution (one of the main gnome programs) is released
almost half a year after gnome 2 was released, and more than half a year
after gtk 2. And it still uses gtk 1.

If you are an Evolution user, you probably know that on the "My Evolution"
tab
you can customize the weather section. However, for some reason Evolution
never
showed the weather in Israel. Well, I wrote a small patch that fixes that
problem, and lets Evolution display the weather
Evolution 0.8 not only looks nice, but it's very good email client..
Now - use it or not? well, if you're running GNOME as your Desktop enviroment
- then yes, use it (hope you're running Helix/Ximian Gnome - or else you'll
need to upgrade lots of libraries)..
