I'm sorry to hear that, mainly because the problems mdk made reminds me
Windows' bugs, and not Linux'.
First, running many things together _SHOULDN'T_ cause any problem, except
of slowing the computer!!! It's not windows with the blue screen of death!
I really wonder why it happened
