Usually, I don't respond when there are hundreds possible answers; I
don't want to add yet more crowd. But in this case, there is something
which is specific for "native UNIX speakers" as you call them, and
also gives some attention to points you mentioned (such as interaction
with UNIX machines):

Orr'eily has some books about NT administration, which are rather new. one
is called 'NT system administration' (or something similar) -
This is off-topic, strictly speaking, but I do want input from this
forum. Apologies all around.
Beyond any reasonable doubt many of you guys (and girls) have to
administer NT in addition to Linux and other unices. It looks like I
am to administer an NT machine - not by choice, believe me. Life
