fsck and async mode

Hi list. Is there a way to fasten the fsck check ? I have proxy with 9 GB disk and it takes forever to start it up. (after a crash) Is there a way to mount the disk that contain the proxy data in sync mode ? (it is a scsi disk) What need to be done ? Thanks, Mike Mike Almogy
