I am not sure that this is the case, but on who.is, they first show you the
last data they got cached, and if a certain period of time has passed, you
can ask them to refresh the data and then you get the new response.
Maybe this is the reason.

or call them if it's urgent.
FYI - the whois info is updating 4 times a day (AFAIK), it might take a
little while for it to propagate.
