I'd say maybe to stress the idea of customization.
Since the source is open, you can make it do whatever you want.
Kids (especially teenagers) are really into stamping their own personal mark
on the world around them. With open source software (and the skills) they
can do that.

i think that you should try to show them the "cool" factor of linux.
you can show them how to boot there computer with linux live-cd, and maybe
give them a few ubuntu live-cd's.
you can also show them the games in Linux, and tell them that they can
download many games for free and easily.
