I'm editing a file, or viewing a web page, or whatever.
I'm interested in printing only a small portion of it.
I'd like to be able to essentially "print selection".
Of course this would require that each program (gvim, firefox,
thunderbird, terminal, whatever) provide such an option.

David,
GPartED, from my experience is VERY safe. All you have to do is
simple: do a chkdsk in Vista (or as they call it "Error checking"),
then boot GPartED, and then do a simple resize.
I would recommend creating the backup DVD of your PDA using the Lenovo

Hi David,
Regarding Fedora, I think that it fails due to some stuff that
normally it does with Anaconda when installing the distribution.
I would suggest something simple:

If you have turned on RAW printing in your CUPS setup, then use the
Windows driver.
If not, use a postscript one. You can always c

Dvir,
Apparently its a "known" (reported) kernel issue with your IDE controller:

There is no apparent solution beside trying a different kernel (in some cases
it appears older versions of Ubuntu worked).

My 2 cents: make sure that you have the latest BIOS installed. All pre
OS code relies on BIOS services to discover devices and read/write
