As every solaris Admin knows, there's the combination of pressing
"stop a" to "freeze" the machine, the ability to do sync, a bit of
monitoring, and safe rebooting/halting if needed.
I know that in SPARC based machine, the "stop a" function is built
from the ground up in their firmware.

Hi again in answer to myself,
I got hebrew to appear in scribus but only backwards hebrew.
Again has anyone used hebrew in scribus?
If this is indeed the state of hebrew in scribus what is needed for it to
support bidi?
I want to write to the scribus users and or file a bug report and be able t
most intersting.
I tried again and some fonts work. Although in the scribus text editor it only
shows one font.
I will need to fiddle a bit more to see what is happening.

Yes hebrew doesn't live as text inside my scribus, If I type hebrew
the cursor doesn't even move. I
I am not using hebrew, so my advice is unrelated to the specific
problem. However, the graphics route is insanity incarnate. I suggest
using OO draw - not great, but much better than text as graphics.
If you like pain you can also use the layers feature of Gimp to design
your brochure. Assumi

Are you running it with LANG=he_IL? (Or at least
LC_CTYPE=he_IL.)

Hi all,
I am trying to design a booklet and thought to use scribus, but when I switch
to hebrew keyboard it won't type anything I type but nothing appears on the
page.
Has anyone used scribus for hebrew layout and if so how.
If not what would you recommend to use instead.
