I must disagree with the degree of certainty of your conclusion.
Alcatel security has little to do with the security of the machine
running behind it, since when alcatel don't get an ip, the machine gets
the ip.

In case it's the same image, I think that maybe there some kind of copy
protection that prevents you from copying and fails at the 1-2 last Kb. What
kind of cd are you trying to copy ?

Why not make 2 RPM's ? One for CVS and one for Snapshot ? For someone who
has not CVS access you can always use wget or snarf or any other d/l
program.
