Anybody tried Linux on a Sony Vaio? (specifically Sony Vaio R505). Two main
things that not working: Video card and modem. Things that I'd very much
like to see as well: baterry management and APM support (e.g. hibernation).

Connectiva & Marc Bower have released new set of drivers for Linux - thats
hardly a news, but this time the HCF winmodems are supported, so you can use
those winmodem cards and devices (specially on those irritating Compaq
notebooks - the Armada line if I'm not mistaken)...
