After downloading most of the KDE 2.1 source packages and compiling them
without much trouble (just a little workaround in kdoc was required to
make it correctly locate Perl and its version) I went into that nifty
configuration center of theirs and attempted to change my
locale+fonts+

Ok, so I basicly understood what is happening. LIRC needs bttv (a kernel
2.4.X) for it's building. After the build I get 2 kernel moduls: licr_dev,
lirc_gpio. I insmod them. Then run the deamon (lircd).
Now for the testing: I used irw. I even got the correce signals. But only as
root. As a normal

1) here are the channels (for xawtv matav/gvanim, it can be put on iglu, it
just has a few problems with 2-3 channels, but basicly it is allright,

Care to articulate your question? What exactly do you want?
if you wish to send SMS messages via Linux, perhaps you should have a look at
smsclient. Please, do not repeat your question 3 times within a time period
of less than 6 hour
