Hello All!
I've upgraded my suse 7.0 to 7.1 and also several glibc RPMs.. It now
added to me the /usr/lib/locale (till now it used /usr/share/locale).
When it uses the new one, gtk apps running with $LANG=he or hebrew
return:
"Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by Xlib, locale set to C".

Hello Ely
The image is a compiled kernel, you can't take any source out of it.
In order to apply a patch to a kernel source and compile it, download a
new kernel.
ftp://ftp.il.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.4/linux-2.4.2.tar.bz2

By now I did ;-).
I must admit I didn't expect such a dependency between the kernel
version and the ppp version (as opposed, say, to gcc version). On the
other hand, I know that PPP support has to be

I guess you forgot to upgrade the pppd ;)
upgrade to: ppp-2.4.0-2.i386.rpm
You can get it from: ftp://ftp.redhat.com/rawhide/i386/RedHat/RPMS
Although this is Rawhide, the RPM itself is pretty old (1/12/2000)

Hi,
There are some serious TCP/IP problems with Windows ME if I'm not mistaken...
As for getting 20k per seconds -- your best test would be to connect as a
guest for a short while to various ISP's and test them...
You should remember one thing - most of the ISP's have added ADSL support,
but,
Hi list.
I'm trying to connect Linux box to another one through RS-232 port.
The port is enabled and is working in Windows, where it's reported as
COM2, irq 3, base port 0x02f8.
In linux (RH7) I run
tpctl --rs2=COM2 --rs2=irq3 --rs2=0x02f8
setserial /dev/ttyS1 auto_irq autoconfig
