Oded,
Run tcpdump -i ppp0 icmp
to see what's realy going on.
You can do that with ethereal and it will be more readable.

Hi list.
I would like to get some info, if I can, about some wierd error messages
cropping up in my logs - and lots of those :
Ever since I finally got my computer back online (after getting a decent
ISDN card - Fritz!PCI from Girit) I've got my logs jammed with these three
things :

Mandrake 7.2 users,
Mandrake was late at issuing their RPM's for KDE 2.1 (maybe they did check it
more then usual - donno).. They appeared on March 5th.
Either use your mandrake update utility or grab Mandrake official RPM's from:
ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/2.1/distribution/rpm/Mandrake/
Which RPM's do you use? which distribution?
I have checked the RPM's for RH 6.x and 7.x personally before they were
released to the public on many Israeli web sites (Walla, Tapuz, ynet, IOL,
Globes) and it was perfectly.
On the other hand - Mandrake RPM's for KDE got already a reputation among
I just checked and mine also crashes on those sites - Mandrake 7.2 - KDE 2.0 -
Konqueror 1.9.8. Strange since I haven't had problems with Konwueror and tied
these sites only after reading your message.

Hi,
I use Konqueror of KDE 2.01, I couldn't install KDE 2.1 correctly on my
Mandrake 7.2. All apps immediately crashed when loaded after I installed
RedHat RPMs.

Do you use the Konquerer that ships with KDE 2.1? Maybe that bug was fixed
there. Or else: compile it from the so

Ok, fix :
I was wrong. RFC 974 states that it's legal for a domain to have no MX
records, in which case the mailer would try to route the mail to the host
with the name 'domain.tld', for example, if the _domain_ 'parasol.co.il' has
no MX records listed, then the mailer would attempt to deliver the
