I use a Bullet E56K modem I bought from Bynet (Binat...) - they have

I think your best solution would be squid's ACLS.
Restrict users from routing through with ipchains, and user the proxy

People,
ISPS try to keep their expenses low, so they make the available
international b/w just adiquate for the peek hours (meaning, a normal
modem user will get about 3-4 Kbytes/sec. Now the ADSL users get their
feed from the same congested line. So they get just the same throughput.

Hetz,
in view of the ip shortage, 99$ sounds cheap (unless it is a monthly
fee...)
Actcom, last I asked, were giving away ip's for ADSL subscribers (till
end of the pool). Hurry!

Hi,
Boot using your bootdisk, login as root and reinstall lilo,
you can do that by using the command 'lilo'
if you get an error, or if you feel you need reconfiguration,
i suggest using `liloconfig`, which is easy to use, or, do it manually.
this problem occurs sometimes when you don't reinstall

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knows about a company or a web

I just heard from someone who called Internet Zahav and
they asked for 99$! thats around 450 NIS for a single IP
while they get the IP's almost freely from RIPE NCC!

You can't dual license as GPL and PD -- public domain is not a license.

Right now there are already more than 80 voters and the results are very interesting.

In the long, glorious and quite idiotic tradition of finding stupid

The GPL does attempt to define ``source code'', but here's an easy

What you should do, is check the connection via dialup modem at the same

Hi,
in console, your mouse works? (are you using gpm?)
you can check if your mouse responds using `mev`.
if it does, sometimes the gpm server has problems interacting with X.
try killing it (gpm -k) or use the -R option in gpm.
see (man gpm) bugs section for more details.
