Can you post your /etc/fstab? hii   i swapped IDE`s on my mother bord betwin the hard disk that has the /home  partition and the cdrom.   the /home was on hdb5 and now it is on hdd5   i have edited my fstab file so now every thing work most of the time fine and every thing is mounted fine
