XDM and xinitrc

Hi , Thanks, but these do not work. They seem to be modification necessary to pptp, but all the doc is in French/German/Dutch. I know that I am lucky to live in an experiment area - part of the "luck" is that I have to do the hard work of finding out how to configure it... I repeat the question -
