Hi all
I just want to say what my friend had a problem with
incorrect set jumpers. He lived happily with WIN,
but when we tried to install Linux on his machine, installation was
halting somewhere during rpm-s installing (it was RH6.0)
I was very surprised what setting jumpers SOLVED the probl
Hi,

IDE controller with UDMA2 and the CDROM doesn't support this then either
will all of them talk at the highest speed of the CDROM or at least the
IDE controller has to slow down each time it talks to the CDROM (Actually

thanks,
i was wondering if their is any way with sysctl to add mirrors to
/proc/sys/kernel, that a loadable module would read from these parameters ?
or do these options have to be compiled into the module itself ?

that that global variable is exported you can just make asmall module to

We are toding some researche on speed on routing and bridging with an
ethernet card on RedHat 6.2,
it seems the using SmartBits machine to check amount of packets passed
threw the ethernet cards,
We get 72000 packets transferred threw the Route and 6 threw the
bridge ,intead of otherwise

I have been using Linux on my Laptop since a couple of months.
I first installed the kernel 2.2.12 (Red Hat 6.1) which I recently
updated to 2.2.16-3.
I decided to update the kernel since I thought that Linux was
using too much memory and that there might be a problem (I read once
that the

RAID 0 is stripping, RAID 1 is mirroring. you don't need even strippin
YOHO!
I think that we all together will code the hebrew support for office, it
will be not so hard..
all we need to do is to understand the engine (the hard part) and write the
addins for enjine that will support hebrew (the wasiest part, we can take
dov's algorythms for this)

but first some more info :
the server is PIII 733 133Mhz board clock, 2 GB RAM and 6 19 GB scsi 10K RPM
drives for the cache and one 9 GB for the system.
I will have 3 scsi cards, 1 for the system and 2 for the disks (3 on each).
The 2 cache disk

You still seems to have a "Secondary Slave" without a "Secondary Master".
It is not working and Matan has point out that it is contrary to the spec.
Further more, Matan has pointed out earlier that 01 means that the HD can not
be seen. There for, why not trying to change the jumper of the slave
