Hi list
I am now in the process of upgrading my system to mandrake 7.0 from 6.0
(by upgrading one package at a time).
I recently noticed a problem with apps that use the xaw toolkit on my
system (i.e. - gv, xfig, xfontsel). As far as I can remember - it started
after I upgraded XFree86 to 3.3.6
hi,
i got a 50x cdrom a few months ago and every time i listened to mp3s on cds

Hello,
I have an AGP Riva-128 based video card, and the OpenGL drivers
suffer greatly from a lack of more video memory. Is there
any support in Linux for using main memory as video
memory using AGP ? Is this a kernel issue or an X issue?

Hi All
I have a machine running RedHat 6.0 on which I want to enable rexec services to it.
(rexec from this machine to any other unix works OK)
I know I have to uncomment the lines that deal with "exec" in /etc/services and
/etc/inetd.conf
After I did it and re-run the daemon I can see that in.

The Cyrus IMAPD supports hashed mail spools (one letter,
easy to change though), but only uses flock for locking.
Since you're using NFS, I'm guessing you're gonna HAVE to patch
the file locking issues yourself in order to get dot-locking
support, otherwise I can see lots of lost mail. However, Cy

When working under windows I don't get that problem
I cught a message once when i shut down the system that said that linux was

That's question which is very hard to answer. Maybe because it is

checked your webserver against netcraft's test machine
lately? apperently my Mandrake tells the world it's mandrake:
Apache/1.3.9 (Unix) (NetRevolution Advanced Server/Linux-Mandrake)
mod_perl/1.21
I wanted to compile 1.3.11 anyway... does a fresh red Hat 6.1 do the
same?

There are two versions of DHTML out there and they are hardly compatible.
Everything that isn't very basic and simple, and you find yourself with two

Because:
1. It is very hard to write DHTML code which will be displayed the

UNIX and Linux.

Hey list,
Are there any variables/system values I can play with to improve TCP/IP

I have used a small utility (MTUSpeed) on Windows and it has substantially
increased network performance, especially when talking to non Windows
servers, now I'm trying to do the same to my proxy server

I'm sorry I'm putting a nagging self-appoinetd moderator hat here, but
I'd like to ask you all to please do a little more to make this list a
bit more RFC 1855 compliant, like removing overquotes, and dropping the
me-too threads when replying. some of the oldest posters on the list
here know well
if your exchange server work with IMAP || POP3 you can use fetchmail to
download the emails
and use pine to view them.
or configure Netscape Messanger to work with one of the 2 protocols.
