I wrote a small python script to do the dos2unix thing
then I wanted it to work on the sourcesafe files, so I made it switch the
permissions to write, convert, and switch them back.
And then I also added a preserve time feature (touch it back to the original
time, so it wouldn't upset makes)
And
I have a printing problem with my Linux, while printing works fine under
Windows 98. Any job I send to lpd, whether ASCII or postscript, does not
print. Moreover, the three test functions in the RedHat printtool do not
work (including sending an ASCII test page directly to the parallel port).

Under redhat 6.0 and above (IIRC) fonts are controlled by a dedicated
font server. It's called xfs, and it's started by the boot scripts
(/etc/rc.d). It reads by default the configuration file
/etc/X11/fs/config.
You need to add a line to this config file that tells it where your new
fonts are,

hi,
an idea came up, which is to carry out a set of lectures in the club,
about systems administration. topics that would probably be included are
- 'linux boot - from bios to sysV init'.
- 'networking basics - from a technical point of view'
- 'administering incoming/outgoing email systems'

hi,
i think yhat your problem is an incorrect gateway.
your eth address is 34 and if i understood you right
this is how you want to connect to the outside world.
so instead of 111 put 34 in you gateway.

I have several ipchain rules. One of them is:
ipchains -A input -i ppp0 -p TCP --destination-port 21 -l -j DENY
Why are these ipchains not doing any logging? I do have the -l option
invoked for logging. The packet is supposed to be denied at the IP level
and then logged into syslog. When I try
Guy and Alex and list
I have already used "proxyarp" option in my /etc/ppp/options file, and
its still not working . I will give some more details on my server and
client configuration with hope that it will help .
Problem :I cant reach any host on remote network ,but i can reach the
ppp server .
