I'll guess you mean that your squid accidently crashes while the rest of the
OS is stable.
How about a cron running every X minutes checking if the process is there,
and if not - restarting it?

there is some pressure in my company to put an NT server (instead of my

the reasons are :
1. outlook server
2. automatic software updates to the windose boxes
3. windose boxese can validate their passwords on the server ...

Well, as an ex ISDN-NET Employee, I can tell you that the Fritz modems
(you'll probably get an Fritz PCI modem) works very well under Linux.
As for their (Bezeq Int.) service - I don't know since I'm not using
them any more.
