Hi,
I'm about to install UnixWare 7.0 on its own dedicated HD . The question :
is it suppose to rewrite the MBR (like MS-Win) or
to cause some other nasty damage to my other installed OSes ? .
I'm not eager at all to reinstall 4 OSes from scratch .
Thanks,
Uri

Telnet must die. There's no telnet anymore, there's SSH. Why you need
telnet if you have SSH? Just because you have a (particullary bad) telnet

Hi.
My current /proc/sys/fs/file-max is set to 4096 and my
/proc/sys/fs/inode-max set to 12288.
If i'll increase it, lets say twice as it is today, will it harm my system ?
Thanks,

At the risk of being slightly off topic, I will:

Sorry for my ignorance, but can you explain to this unixoid how
RasConnectionNotification() is implemented?

Thanks for the suggestions, Nimrod, I have implemented the
online/offline thing this way. Shame on me for not having read the FAQ
(where this stuff is mentioned) for quite some time.
Nevertheless, it was a good excersize and my original question stands:
Windows has RasConnectionNotification(). W

Hi,
I got this machine here at work to make it my tests machine. It's an old
SMP 2XPII266 Mhz & 128MB RAM..
I compiled kernel 2.2.13 with SMP Support & Realtime clock and installed
it..
Now - when I type uname -a I get: Linux test.intercomp-sys.com 2.2.13 #2
SMP Tue ..
BUT, when I do cat /
# Exim filter
if $h_X-list is "linux-il"
then save "mail/Lists/linux-il"
endif
. in the ~/.forward - works flawlessly for Exim + IMAP configuration.
