Hi,
RedHat's fixed vixie-crond has a bug, I haven't been through the code
yet, but the manifestation of it is that it starts respawning itself after
a while, till it completely fills the process table, and all you're left
with is to reboot.

Hi,
Has anyone done a fair comparison between Apache-SSL and mod_ssl
add-ons for Apache (recent versions), on Linux? Pros/cons of each?
(I hope I'm not starting a religious thread here - I'm looking for info
based on merit alone).
Thanks!

Hi list,
I hope someone could help me with this problem,
how could I modified files, I mean is it a way to change the last
modification of a file to previous date.
thanks,
Shay.

I am sure

I won't comment on the binary compatibility issues, but be VERY careful
if you intend to use a Solaris backup application under Linux.
Many backup programs

In that case remove the cron job that is calling rmmod -as. I'm not at my
machine right now but IIRC it's in /etc/cron.d

Do you have any opinion on how good it works?
Can I rely on it's functionality for something like a backup agent?

bingo! rmmod won't work without module support. Get him out of the
crontab.

Hi, it's my turn to ask a stupid question ;-)
I have a weird problem trying to fetch my mail (with fetchmail) from
Netvision. Here is the set up: at home I have a Pentium with 2
versions of RH Linux: RH5.2 running kernel 2.0.35, and RH6.0 running
(normally) 2.2.10. The problem is with the latter
its RH6 with kernel 2.2.10
rmmod is installed but i didn't compiled module support in my kernel (i
dont like modules).
