I've got a laptop (Travel Mate 313T from Acer) installed with win98 and
linux (RedHat 6.0).

you can set the SCSI board itself (at least I know about Adaptec &
Symbios) from the boot - look at the messages - it will tell you to
press something to go into SCSI setup, so remove the settting from IRQ 7
(thats the printer port).
