has not arrived yet, I'm doing the configuration on another box (after a
clean RH6 installation), with the plan of just copying everything ("tar

Can you explain what is the problems with a monofrad ?
Is what you are saying based on your experience ? Have you read about it
somewhere ? Will a monofrad cause a low throughput ? Does it put a heavy load
on the CPU ?

sometimes when the Linux boots after the following message:

The linux kernel hangs, and there is no escaping it.
This cannot be always reproduced, since it doesn't happen all the time.

the old (and current) kernel is 2.2.5-15smp . i want to upgrage to
2.2.10
