I've just compiled a new kernel and when I tried to reboot it I got
messages like "can't find ... 03:02". Booting to the Debian rescue
disk and running fdisk I see that these partitions are simply gone.

This option works if you have a floppy and a network card that can be
detected by Linux.
1. Copy the kit to an ftp server on your network
2. Start the installation from floppies and choose the location of the

Im going to install linux on 486dx4 laptop
this is my first time of installing laptop so i got some Q (how
surprising) :-)
the laptop does not have cd and have only 500 MB HD.
Is there a way to install with parallel cords (i think i sow something
some where) if not what is the easiest way ?
