Having a problem with setup-storage trying to partition

Hello, I was wondering if I could get any help debugging the following error message, which I am getting when trying to partition a disk in fai: Starting setup-storage 1.4 Using config file: /var/lib/fai/config/disk_config/OFFICE Executing: parted -s /dev/sda unit TiB print Executing: parted -s /

Has anybody had good luck using FAI where it repartitions on a system that previously contained an lvm setup?

ml one because the grml one was crashing randomly on my test machine (which is similar to my lab machines). I appreciate any relevant feedback. -Ken Hahn

Not all fixed. Re: Has anybody had good luck using FAI where it repartitions on a system that previously contained an lvm setup?

Hello, It looks like this fix doesn't resolve the problem when a preserved partition is desired. Still looking into it. -Ken On 07/11/2013 11:40 AM, Ken Hahn wrote: > Hello, > > Thanks, indeed that patch fixed the problem and made sense to me. I am > still, however, cu

to give patches for setup-storage because of a difference that really arose in Linux::LVM? If anybody has any info on this before I keep digging on Monday, it would be appreciated! -Ken Hahn On 07/11/2013 05:11 PM, Ken Hahn wrote: > Hello, > > I've been looking through the code,

messes with setup-storage. I'll go send a bug to the liblinux-lvm-perl debian package, but ultimately, I bet they just pass along another field as a fix. Anyway, apparently, this bug has legs. -Ken On 07/19/2013 05:14 PM, Ken Hahn wrote: > Hey, > > Still looking at this issue (

e manner described by Thomas. At this point, I've managed to get installing wheezy with preserved lvm partition working, which is what my work itch is. As a result, I'm afraid I can't allocate much more time to trying to actively fix things. If anybody takes it on, I'd be

Is there a reason it wasn't merged into the release? -Ken Thomas Neumann wrote: >On Tuesday 23 July 2013 14:17:12 Ken Hahn wrote: >> 4.0.6 setup-storage has significant issues with lvm. Even after >fixing >> the problem with liblinux-lvm-perl, setup-storage has
