Hi,
I have some difficulties to setup a working nfsroot environement; The
initrd image does not seem to contain all the necessary modules :
chroot /srv/fai/nfsroot
find /lib/modules/4.9.0-8-amd64/ -name "*bnx2*"
/lib/modules/4.9.0-8-amd64/kernel/drivers/scsi/bnx2i
/lib/modules/4.9

Should I look in the base.tgz ubuntu, or in package_config BC_BASE?
How can I be sure that all drivers or modules will be installed for all kind of
computers?
Is there a correct way to make a base.tgz for ubuntu 14.04?

Hi Stephan,
Thanks for the tip, it worked very well. I may also be worth adding, for the
benefit of the list, that the Ubuntu 10.04 LTS package available in the PPA
actually installs a Maverick NFSROOT by default (which doesn't appear to work
as the live-initramfs package doesn't seem to be av

Hi all,
I have a question, or perhaps even a feature request, concerning adding modules
to the initrd that FAI builds for PXE booting, and subsequently for client
installation. My clients have Broadcom NetExtreme NICs that are PXE-enabled.
Unfortunately, the standard initrd that comes out of

IMO, this is not needed. The fai
Is there a file somewhere that I can tell fai-cd to add dm_mod, dm_crypt, or
any other kernel module to the fai-cd initrd?

How can I add perl modules via FAI? I need to install Net::LDAP on the
machines I run an FAI install. The problem is that I've been unable to make
the CPAN module non-interactive. I changed several of the CPAN parameters so
it's a lot closer to being non-interactive. But it still oc
