des into colored static. I know the source is OK,
because I have an Hauppauge Wintv-USB2 hooked up that tunes the analog cable
channels with no problem. I had the analog working before so I am not sure
what happened now. Wrong module loaded or something? When scanning for
channels it is definitely a LOT f

did not know where to end so I rounded up to the next power of 2. I was

If that works and you already have aplay working, you can use
arecord -f dat -D plug:dsnoop | aplay
Perhaps some GPIO might enable the sound cable on the dvico card, I
don't know. Does it work under windows if you use the audio cable?

is running at 5v. This allowed me to
hook them up directly to the parallel port on a linux box to to the
recording. Works like a charm, and even tallies with the existing v4l
driver code. Now to find the differences...

Aha! Another 761 person! I've tried at length to work out how to make
this card work (FC3, FC4, Ubuntu) and not succeeded. I couldn't get it
to detect a tuner.
How did you overcome that problem? Probably it's something simple that
I'm missing, not being a kernel/hardware person really. Or perhaps
n can someone recommend me a DVB-S receiver, with a CAM that
works with Sky?

I bought a barebones and installed MythDora. I then
installed the v4l-dvb from mecurial and made the
changes to saa7134-dvb and did a make, make install.
As Dwaine stated, the switch over doesn't occur. I
tried both patches and I switched cables both times.

Personally, I use Mux #1 for scanning initially, as it tends to have better signal
quality (since it is used for carrying Freeview box software updates). Mux #2 tends to
break up in bad weather for me.

a) They're not transmitting any teletext/mheg stuff
