Hi,
it seems, that current (CVS) dvb-kernel (2.6/2.4) drivers work properly over
several hours, if hyperthreading is disabled (SMP kernel reports a single CPU).
But with hyperthreading enabled, it happens quickly, that my system freezes.
The tests I've done so far showed, that it is necessary to
Hi, I'm a colleage of Gert-Jan and now also busy with the streaming from
hardware device driver.
We switched over to Suse9.0 and Linux Tv DVB driver 1.1.1.
The data in the transport stream on the disc is now sent to our front end
transport stream device driver, which copies the data via the DVB f
This may occur if you do not have the correct permissions set on your
devices, try running kaxtv as root, ifit works, then you need to refer
to the devfsd/udev documentation on how to make rules to change the
perms so that normal users can access them!

With scan running you can use the dvr device successfully?

Hi,
I noticed using tcpdunp on dvb0_0 confuses the dvb driver.
Avoid using tcpdump (If you use it you stop receiving bytes).
P.S. You say you are using dvbtune. I use szap to tune and dvbnet to
bring up dvb0_0.
I never used dvbtune, but I think you should use dvbnet.
