I am using vdr-1.1.20 with DVB drivers from CVS (some days old).
If I am changing the sound volume in vdr, I get the following error in
syslog:
Dec 30 07:31:03 eddie vdr[1650]: ERROR (dvbdevice.c,660): Operation not
permitted
The volume setting is working.
I tracked that down to the func
I'm just starting to get to grips with how to use my Hauppauge Nova-T on
linux, and to say I'm confused would be an understatement.
As I understand it, I need the siemens_dvb drivers. I'm not sure whether
I should use the siemens_dvb-0.9.4-2002-05-20.tgz from the VDR page or
the latest snapshot

Below is the output of the 'make', which was run after make clean &&
./getlinks. The only thing I can see, which is probably irrelevant is that
the DKBUILD_BASENAME appears to be video_buf whereas the it compiles to
video-buf.o.
Thanks, so "video-buf.o" gets build, but ...

really :-(. Also check with lspci/setpci that the pci latency is 128 for
7146 dvb cards and that pci is runing
