Never had problems in compiling the drivers for a long time. Now I crashed my
box and had installed completly new. On compiling there are no messages. But

Hi,
here is the last version of my modified ALPS BSRU6 frontend driver
with support for Philips SU1278/SH. The driver has an additional
module parameter 'ftype':
ftype=0 . Philips SU1278/SH
ftype=1 . ALPS_BSRU6 / LG TDQB-S00x (not tested)
I renamed the driver to

After patching the BSRU6 driver szap and scan are working fine:

I've seen similar problems with vdr 1.1.x.
Some recordings done with vdr 1.0.4 won't replay cleanly. I started
looking into this and found that the problem disappeared when I
replaced the firmware (Root, Dpram) of the new driver with that of the
1.0.4 driver. (Please note that this is not rec

Hi!
Having read that the 'newstruct' drivers support volume-control on DVB-C
Cards was one major reason to switch. But even with the new drivers the
volume does not in- or decease when i.e. using vdr.
What might be wrong? Or did I dream reading of this capability :-)

Hi!
After playing a little with the 'NEWSTRUC' dvb-drivers I realized that
it is not neccessary to install all *.o into /lib/modules. A diff is
attached. (I also install the firmware to the default-fw-path.
second attachment is a modified modules.conf. At least on my machine
dvb-drivers will load
Apologies in advance for the newbie question, but I am just getting started
with DVB/IP and have got as far as pointing the dish at Astra 19.2 for
EuropeOnline, and compiling the driver. Could you please give me some hints
or pointers to a FAQ.
Many thanks
John

Hello,
I'm having a hardtime reading MPEG2s with The Hauppage Nexus DVB-s. The
MPEG2s I'm making are IBP. But for some reason, some of the MPEGs played
in ntuxplayer will just start reading a very few percent and stop. I
have to press the "p" button (p : playback) many times until it gets

Hi there,
first of all I want to thank everybody who's involved in this amazing
project. I've got my WinTV-nexus for 2 days now and it was not really a
big problem running VDR-1.0.x and the siemens-dvb drivers and, so far,
everything is working fine.
Tried to switch to vdr-1.1 and linux-dvb no
Hi,
I just got my Hauppauge Nova-s and compiled the latest cvs snapshot
(20021207). 'make insmod' failed with "no such device"...
After comparing 'lspci -v' with the pci_device_ids listed in
av7110/saa7146_core.c I found that my card is not listed.

The question was how to use the receiver on the second card.
There is no way to setup RC5 for *two* or more cards using
