Hi all,
I have a RedHat v7.2beta version
I'm trying to install my Hauppauge DVB-s card.
Make works perfectly (siemens_dvb-0.9.4 driver)
Make insmod produces this:
/usr/src/linux/scripts/pathdown.sh: TOPDIR: parameter null or not set
./makedev.napi
Hello,
it is not clear to me the usage of the Service_ID within a DVB receiver. Is
it mandatory to use SID to filter the information flows. In my understunding
PIDs are the only identifiers that I need to filter Information flows.
Thanks for the clarifications

Hello Arno,
I am using this shell script :
=
#/bin/bash
#
cd /home/dvb/DVB/driver
rmmod dvb
make insmod
sleep 5
#
#
tail -8 /var/log/messages | grep ASTON > /dev/null
ret=$?
while [ $ret -ne 0 ] ; do
rmmod dvb
insmod dvb.o init_chan=2 pids_off=0
sleep 15
#
Sure it's possible.
Try dvbstream. To find it, look in the news page of linuxtv.org

I have a AstonCrypt 1.05 module and it works.
But when i load the module, i have to check in the sys log if has detected
the aston crypt module
for that just type dmesg
and look for "ASTON" on the 5 or 10 last lines.
if you can't see it, wait 30 sec ( sometime it's slow to load ... ) and
retry
Tanx every body for all your answer, i've connected the IR receiver on the
CI and it works perfectly !
