One way to do it would be completely outside of Apache. It would be to
create a symlink of the directory of "oldsetname" to the actual location
of the "newset". Therefore, any reference to the old URL would
transpatenrly lead to the new directory.

At Linux-Gatineau, we are using Sympa. This is a software that, I think,
originates from France. It seems to work fine, although we had some
issues with the proper header of the email. I did not do the setup of
the software, but helped a little bit.
