I would be interested in knowing the layout of sources and reservoirs, and where to the pipes run from them. Does anyone know‽ Sent from the all new AOL app for Android On Fri, Oct 29, 2021 at 3:06 PM, sally kindleberger wrote: Gordon not sure, but we were right under the reservoir so we

Is this more located to northern parts of Lincoln? At least in my very southwest corner, the water seems ok. Maybe only some part of the network is affected, what might that be? Someone must know the layout of sources and reservoirs, and whereto the pipes run from them. Gordon Woodington Sally:

Gordon not sure, but we were right under the reservoir so we got the brunt. Perhaps by the time the water got to you, it was mixed with Sandy Pond water and so the"doggie taste" had mellowed!🐕🐶🐩🐶🐕🐩 Or perhaps the fish taste had covered up the dead dog taste! On Fri, Oct 29, 2021 at 2:17 PM Gordon

When I first moved here in 1967, Lincoln had that open pressure reservoir and no treatment plant. The water was sometimes coffee brown and occasionally had fish parts floating in it. Our water is much improved since those days! ;-) Ruth Ann (She, her, hers) > On Oct 29, 2021, at 12:29 PM, sally

Once in my childhood, we had terrible tasting water. It turned out that a dog had drowned in the reservoir above our house on Bedford Road. Soon afterward the reservoir was covered! On Thu, Oct 28, 2021 at 3:51 PM Dan Paul wrote: > This is good news. Thank you! > > On Oct 28, 2021, at 3:40 PM,

This happens every fall when the cooler nights cause the cooled top layer of water to sink, thereby churning up the water and bringing up some of the organics from the bottom. It should improve in a few days. The water is still safe to drink. Ruth Ann Hendrickson (She, her) Water Commissioner
