A central heat pump would use an air handler like your current system but the
compressor would be outside. It would have the advantage of heating and

When we moved to Lincoln a couple of years ago, we updated the existing
central ac system (~20 yrs old) to a heat pump. We used Advanced
Mechanical Systems (http://advancedmechanical.net/) to do the work. They
were great to work with. They have been out to do annual service /
check-up
