option that does not provide that amount of space falls short of meeting
the town’s needs. Don't be misled into supporting a too-large for our

about the kitchen it is about the absence of
needs/wants clarity, the absence of a no-frills choice to consider.

I cannot objectify "significantly
less." None of us is in a position to speak for anyone else about what
level of cost is/is not significant to their personal situation.
I am opposed to trying to resolve this via price target mechanisms.

This is not analysis paralysis.

I would add that those well-intentioned committees did not indicate to me
that they carefully distinguished between wants and needs. I agree that
"doing nothing" is not an option, but we are being asked to "do eve

much are they aiming for? $100,000? $5 million? Until I see a

of the other financial needs in the near future: raises for teachers as a
result of the next contract negotiations, serious issues at the DPW yard
that require capital investment.

I agree this would be an interesting option. A few observations:
-If we located some town service at the Lincoln Mall, the
spaces around the town is that
it might complicate the efforts of the COA to record visits which they use
to help justify funding requests.
Finally, regarding the reference to the pool table and the musical The
Music Man, the key takeaway is that the good citizens were conned :)

take-out/catered food and just reheat it? Why pay the capital cost for a
full-blown kitchen to allow us to cook it all from scratch for the
relatively few times when these meals are provided?
