Hi All,
I am a composer who is using Lilypond exclusively. I have used it for
a choir and piano piece, flute and piano sonatas, piano pieces, numerous
chamber works, and a full three movement trumpet concerto. It already
is real world usage.
I don't get the topic. Do you mean c

Hi all,
Do we have anything to convert a lilypond file to a music xml file.
Doing a google search just provides the opposite, xml to lily. Anybody
know of anything?

Hi,
I remember a couple of weeks ago there was mention of

Hi,
I am writing a large ensemble work, a saxophone concerto. The first
movement is in 8/4. It has got to be an 8/4 because I am constantly
shifting the 3+3+2 to 3+2+3 and 2+3+3 quality of beat emphasis and
phrasing. The sax has 16th notes, often enough. This question may be a

Hi,
I am sorry for not contributing to this thread that I started. I am
currently writing (pencil and paper) a saxophone concerto and I am
really into it. This is the piece that inspired the 8/4 measures. I
have stopped typesetting because I am so focused on the actual music. I

Hi,
Does anyone out there know the proper notation for a snare drum with a
pair of wire brushes - where the drummer does that circle gesture on the
drum head to produce a sustained sound, and sometimes the other hand
plays a different beat?
I know this isn't lily specific, but it is notation.

Hi,
I did a google search on "lilypond tacet" but came up with very little.
How do you tacet a part? Specifically, in a first movement the part
