When I added the title of the piece in what used to be a single page of
music, lilypond decided to split the piece into two pages with each line of
music being spaced very far apart. Previously I had been using this code in
order to squeeze as much as I could onto one page without being too crowde
I've tried to add padding to several objects, but it doesn't seem to work. My
code is as follows:
\once \override RehersalMark #'staff-padding = #2.0
\mark \default |
and
\override OttavaBracket #'padding = #2.5
Both these code snippets do absolutly nothing. It's also rather unclear to

I'm writing an orchestral score out, and I have a large piece.ly file in
which all the individual instrument parts music is written out. Every
instrument's part starts with something like varInstrumentNotes = \relative
c'' { . Every part is entered with \relative c, then there are template
files f
Like the subject says, is there any way to reposition the \tempo mark? I'd
love to be able to move it a bit to the left.
Also, my instrument names seem to not be displayed propperly in my score.
