o preserve
the c major: the only way this can be useful is if I can get
abc2ly to interpret the abc header fields (L: M: K: ),
not just the raw notes. Is there something I'm missing?

I'm using Lilypond 2.12.3-1 with OLy 0.4 and OpenOffice 3.2.1 on OS X 10.6.
