I must look further into what \improvisationOn does as it was in a

I would appreciate help in finding out if Lilypond can produce Strumming

Hey Thanks,
when I first read the manual I thought Lilypond's symbol to spread or
center a lyric between two note values was the double underscore. No
matter how I placed or spaced it this naturally didn't work. Now I see
from playing with your example that the slur does do the job in this
case. I
to use the G from the second string these circles
with numbers start showing above the G

Hi,
I am assuming that the use of grace notes and the Lilypond syntax is
concurrent with proper music theory, which I am slowly starting to
learn. Thanks for your tip Federico!

I have yet to play with the parameters of Glissando but I imagine they
are more or less self-explanatory.

Hi folks,
my first try at bass notes. It is a lot of fiddling to keep the proper
tab positions or I am doing something the hard way. The notes and their
positions I want indicated in the tab are correct for the first four
bars. I can carry on in this way but is this the best way?

Only respond to this mail if you have had a problem with the file. I
will dig into the documentation about snippets, should I need to get
this working.

Thanks for the tips. I did a google search and obviously used the wrong

Hi Folks,
I'm trying to get up to speed with variables but I am missing something
obvious or the documentation is not clear.
In the example the escaped \cm generates an escaped character not
recognized error message. If I stick it in a layout block it is
recognized. Then however the variable is no
"fs" then Lilypond will insert an esus2, if I'm not mistaken. Make the
gs an a and you have a sus4. Lots of luck with the rest of your code.

It was not quite perfect in that part of the Tabstaff grid will be

Hi Again,
I thought I better be a little clearer. Lilypond states it cannot find

missing from the midi file???

flavours was not so up to date.
