Dear list,
Is there any way to access the stencils of individual accidentals in a key
signature?
Thanks

The KeySignature stencil gets constructed by combining the individual
accidental stencils into one stencil, as can be seen here:

Yes, but support lists and forums consist of a very large percentage of
XY problems due to their very nature. :-) I always ask people 'what is
the real question?'.

Hi all, I’m wondering if there’s a smart way to make the midi output for a
particular part do the following two things (both common in Sousa marches):
1. Have a part play only on 2nd time through the repeat.
2. Have different dynamic for 1st and 2nd times through repeat.
A minimal example of how

Thanks a lot!
This is impressive and is helping me a lot to both understand and manage my
issue.
Thing is I wanted narrower accidentals, and instead of doing it the proper way
and redesigning the font I hacked them with a callback with ly:stencil-scale .
Then I realised I wanted the key signat
Hello, everyone. I'm a relatively inexperienced lilypond user trying to use
it for a big project (score and parts for Leo Ornstein's Piano Concerto)
and I've been running into some issues. I'd like to start with what I hope
is an easy one.
There's a point early on where I have three \tempo marking
Look into \markLengthOn and markLengthOff.

Hi;
I'm trying to simplify my workflow. I think I want to generate
postscript files instead of pdf files when using Lilypond. I already
know how to do that. But what I need to know is, on a Mac, how to
display the postscript file from the command line. I used to do this
all the time a long ti
You may be better off asking this ghostscript specific question on
StackOverflow. It's a legitimate topic there.A tag 'ghostscript' is
supported, and the topic appears to be active.

Thank you Andrew.
Meanwhile, I installed xquartz and I have a working (?) XWindows
environment now, but gs still doesn't work.
I'll poke around more on stackoverflow.
Thanks,
Ken

Hello Kenneth
To view the postscript, you should use directly gv (GhostView) and not gs
(GhostScript).
Hope this helps,

Hi JJ;
Maybe available via MacPorts, but not native and not via homebrew,
as far as I can tell.
Thanks,
Ken

Hello Kenneth,
You're right, there seems to have been a change in the x11 policy but
perhaps the page https://github.com/johnhcc/homebrew-gs-x11 could be of
some use to you.

HI JJ;
I'll look into that, but I already installed xquartx, via homebrew,
which provides an X11 environment.
BTW, I've posted a query on stackoverflow; that is probably a better
place than this as it does not directly involve Lilypond.
Thanks,
Ken
