The default margins for a4 seem a little too narrow. The normal I see in scores is about 2 cm wide. If the margins are only 1 cm thick, the page seems too crowded. Also it is a legibility issue: usually for text, the lenght of a line should not exceed 50–70 characters, otherwise the eye has trouble
