The horizontal position is determined using a completely different
mechanism.
For example, if you want to move the breathing sign further away from the
next note, you can use
\override BreathingSign #'space-alist #'next-note = #'(fixed-space . 2.5)

I'd like to provide metronome ticks to a Lilypond generated MIDI.
I could add an additional, non-printing (percussion) voice, but maybe
there's a simpler solution?

can't seem to remove the "Music engraving by Lilypond etc" text from the bottom
of the file. I tried searching for a solution but there doesn't seem to be
anything about it in

Many thanks - this works perfectly!
Could I have discovered this for myself from the
documentation? space-alist is not mentioned in the 2.10
User Manual, and although space-alist is shown as one of the

\override NoteHead #'style = #'neomensural

But I cannot figure out how to change
Hi,
I know that this is something that has come up before, because I found a bunch

No I probably won't. I think having the example in lsr is enough.

Hi folks:
Here's a snippet with two staves: one with four bars of 3/8 and
another with 3 bars of 3/8 in the same time as the first four bars.
I used compressMusic to line them up, and I'm using a global
"breaking" voice (imagine this pattern continuing for page and pages).
The problem is, the fu
