i'm using the lilypond 2.6.3 for windows...
the default action for lilypond files (generate pdf)... creates:
filename.log
BUT
.ps
.pdf (both files with an empty filename)
is this how it's supposed to behave? how can i make it create the pdf according to the filename of the original lilypond file

It's not currently possible. You can fake it by manually creating very long
stems, or you can pay Han-Wen to implement a good way to do it.

Strange! I haven't seen this problem mentioned earlier on the mailing
list and there are certainly a large number of people who use Lily 2.6.3
in Windows. What Windows version do you use by the way? (Please keep
followups on the mailing list).

Dear lily-users,
In some cases where I use hairpins and slurs in a sequence of low notes at the staff, they collide. I tried to use: \once \override Script #'padding = #1.2, but it didn't work out.
Is there someone who could help, please?
Thank you very much.

What made you think that "Script" is the layout object to modify.
If you read the section on Dynamics in the manual, you can read at
the bottom of the section "Vertical positioning of these symbols is
handled by DynamicLineSpanner" and if you view the on-line version
of the manual, you get a link

Sloped hairpins are not implemented at this time, but Han-Wen says they
can be done as a sponsored feature.

Because the behaviour of Windows is so wildly inconsistent under different
conditions, and because there exist physically different ways of
transmitting input-filename information to LilyPond, it would be helpful
to have the following information also:

Dynamic formatting
Proper dynamic formatting would allow the endpoints of hairpins to be
adjusted individually, right? If this tweaking could be expanded to a
larger subset of spanners, I would be interested in co-sponsoring this.
