Hi all,
I experience some problems with the text fonts and dvi output. These
problems first appeared when after I uninstalled the Slackware package
for lily 2.4.2 and then compiled and installed 2.5.26. I have now
installed lily 2.6.0 (on Slackware 10.0) and they problems are still

If you search the mailing list archives (don't forget those for
lilypond-devel and user-lilypond) over the last 2-3 weeks, you will
notice that most of these issues have already been discussed and

I'm working on the cygwin version, actually it is building now, but
there may be problems, so I'm not sure I can upload it today. However,
when I success building lily without the documentation (because usually
building the doc has the most problems), I'll create an unofficial release.

Bert, that's great news. Even if most of my problems have workarounds,
as Mat suggests, I'd rather continue to use Cygwin if possible.
Will it be possible to install 2.6 and also keep 2.4.3? I can't
use 2.6 'live' at the moment because there seem to be things that do

advantages of the native version for many people.

Thanks.
And sorry to be such a dull reading the doc, but I have yet another
question: is it possible to enter tabs directly with numbers (instead of
actual notes)?
Thanks again for the kind help,

Title: LilyPond, jEdit and LiyPondTool Testimonial
Nearly two years ago I discovered LilyPond 1.6 and have been wading and swimming happily, productively and continuously ever since, migrating through 2.0.1 and 2.4.3 to 2.4.6. I've used Windows XP and Cygwin, with Microsoft Word as an editor

Han-Wen,
You could have a proportional royalty from every piece I publish based
on the number of trills I write :-)
Joking aside, how much would you charge to implement such a feature?
