On a piece I am working on I have a repeat bar which is in the middle of
the staff. It also serves as a DS Al Coda. How do I make the rest of
the staff stay empty so I can start the Coda on the next full staff?
thanks

I can't help you with this. But in the future, I would
suggest not posting html to this list (or any other, btw)

I should I guess be more specific in what file do I put the midiscore

If I put the header information in the score only printed parts won't
have the correct header.

Hello, Ferenc:
I can't stand not pointing out that you could instead use a
jingle *directory* and simpler file names in it. :)
On the other hand, I am often wary of using non-unique filenames, since
there is nothing to distinguish them in a "flattened" directory
structure (e.g., a search panel).

In the latest source packages not all of the patches are included, which are
needed for building a correct and full Cygwin package, however I'll try to
make a correct one this evening.
I'm not planning to send testing versions in the official cygwin

First, a little deconstruction...
Lilypond's note syntax is great. The problems start when you want to
\override some default behavior. I think this paragraph typifies the
problems with lilypond:

Hi all,
Sorry for the sorta hijacked thread,
I have been thinking about this a long time.
Being that a lot of features/fixes to Lilypond come from questions and

Hello,
I am unable to find the right duration fraction for autoBeamSettings so
that it would work in triplets. (end * * * *) works fine, but that is
not what I want as it affects everything. Pasted example shows what I
mean; I want all the c's beamed with two beams, not four.
Thanks for help.
I want to have a tie from the main section of a piece to the first note
of both alternative endings. Here's a simple example of the lilypond
code:

\paper {

indent = 0.0\mm
}
mm = \notes

Here is my problem:
I'd like to use lilypond version 2.0 (or higher) on my system using
SuSE-Linux9.0. For there is no compiled package for this target on your

Or better yet, a Wiki that users can easily add to. Maybe primed with the

It would have to know how to filter through lilypond-book though...

I've just compiled it, in my sid, and i've found several errors of
sound-coordination when playing some of the examples that comes with
it, -the ones which have several staves-. Apart from that, the
lilypond code that it produces doesn't compile with 2.1.6 -at first

Hi you LilyPond folks..
I'm trying to write lyrics for some Christmas songs.. but I'm sure there is a
smarter way to do it than the way I did.
I have four music blocks (\soprano, \alto, \tenor and \basse) and I have four
lyric blocks (\texteUn, \texteDeux, \texteTrois and \texteQuatre) ..
