Hello to everybody.
I am Maurizio, and this is my first e-mail to this group. I use Lilypond
1.4.13, and I am typesetting the String Quartet KV387 by Mozart for the
Mutopia Project. In the third movement I have to deal with version
1.4.x's limitations about grace notes, so I am going to install
I have used the latest Lilypond development versions to typeset
some larger scores without any significant problems, so I would
recommend to try the latest version 1.5.58. Of course there are
some bugs, but at the moment I don't think there are more bugs
than in the stable versions. Also, if you

For the development version, they are listed in an appendix
of the manual, goto lilypond.org/development click on

When are these versions going to be available for the Windows2K users. I am
still using. 1.4.12 and might be willing to move if the benefits are greater
than the fear of a new installation.

I tried compiling lilypond-1.5.58 on a RH7.3 box. This is the end of the

Guile 1.3.4 hasn't worked since something like 1.5.3x, you
need at least 1.4.

Unless someone steps up to maintain Windows versions for 1.5.xx,
I'm afraid you'll have to wait for the next stable branch, 1.6.
However, you can always build it yourself, see

Whoa, easy now, if you install guile 1.4 in /usr/local/ and leave 1.3 in
/usr/ then you don't have to recompile an

are missing. Should I just continue on with the troubleshoo
Could you please try the command
lilypond -V Documentation/user/out/lily-1452586523.ly
and send the output to the mailing list.
I'm not able to repeat your problem here.
